The Niles Elk’s Lodge played host this weekend to The Ray Carlson Memorial, where we presented a very special car seat to our new friend Caleb. He suffers from Leigh Syndrome (a form of Mitochondrial Disease), a neurological disease affecting his nerves and muscles. In attendance were his mother Krystal, his grandparents Ed & Dawn Mahar and Great Grandmother Suzanne Phillips. Tracy & Sherri Brewington, the Major Project Chairman for Niles 1322 contacted Craig Carlson to help Caleb and his family. Caleb’s new car seat will provide better support, and ensure he is protected in the event of an accident. It was an emotional evening, and a great start to the holiday season. Our thanks goes out to the Niles Elk’s Lodge for their support. See pictures of the event below.
